What we do

VSM Estates was appointed in August 2006 by the Ministry of Defence as the Prime Plus Contractor for Project MODEL, the Ministry’s flagship Estate Strategy project for London, which sees existing London-based units relocated to an integrated site at RAF Northolt and the other sites freed up for disposal and development.

VSM Estates will be responsible for delivering the entire project through funding and project managing the construction requirements, the relocation of units and the actual disposal of the surplus sites. It is not within VSM Estates' remit to redevelop the vacated sites.

Prime Plus Contracting (PPC) is an innovative means of funding a high-profile property project, designed to maximise results and minimise costs. PPC uses the value of the sites that are to be released to fund construction costs; a partner is appointed to fund and manage the development of the core site at RAF Northolt and the sale of surplus sites.
